Switzerland’s Michael Küffer won the la Réunion round of the 2016 Paragliding World Cup tour, flying a GIN Boomerang 10.
Michael finished just 14 points ahead of 18-year-old Simon Pellissier (FR, Enzo 2). The young Frenchman won the last task of the competition, his first ever World Cup event. In third place was South Africa’s André Rainsford on a Boomerang 10.
First-placed woman, and 17th overall was Klaudia Bulgakow flying an Enzo 2. Méryl Delferriere (FR, Boom 10) and Benedicte-Saury-Jourdain (FR, Mantra 6) were second and third women.
Five tasks of 69km, 63km, 56km, 54km and 34km were scored in the competition, which took place between 1 and 8 October 2016. Next stop is the Superfinal in Governador Valadares, Brazil, 17-28 January 2016.
