Homegrown Festival Tickets On Sale Now!!!
The Homegrown Festival returns September 12-14 to the gorgeous hills of mid-Wales. Late summer flying, rocking music, talks and seminars, orgasmic food, a Tipi field, trade tent and lots of activities for the children…. where else would you want to be?
The first Homegrown Festival took place in the hills of mid-Wales in September 2006. We enjoyed talks by world champion Bruce Goldsmith, Louise Crandal on flying with eagles, John Silvester on his Himalayan adventure, and were given flying seminars by Jocky Sanderson, Bob Drury, Mike Campbell-Jones and others. Acro shows, balloon flights, towing and paramotor displays filled the skies.
The 2008 event will again be compered by Jocky Sanderson and we have some of the most interesting people in the sport coming to give talks and show films, plus of course a legendary music line-up. Come and test fly the latest gliders from all the UK’s leading paragliding, hang gliding and paramotoring brands - and we’ll also have the latest self-launching micro-sailplanes on display. The festival site is seated a 15 minute walk below Aberedw Ridge, a fantastic, massive flat-topped hill that takes three wind directions.
The three-day festival opens on Friday 12 September at 12:00 pm, and your ticket includes camping on Friday and Saturday nights. In 2006, the inaugural Homegrown Festival event sold out weeks before, with over 800 flyers and families gathering at Fforest Fields. Make sure you book early!

Hi, I was just looking at the details for the Homegrown Festival, I went to the first one, and enjoyed myself, Perhps you could tell me why the cost of entrance has doubled since then, and this being only the second event, and the fact that the event sold out does not justify the 100% rise in entrance fee.
Can you tell me is this years event going to be a bit more Paramotor friendly, it seemed to me that only the GT wings were allowed to fly around and over the main field, and one of those spent to much time showing off and ended up crashing.
Most of the paramotors that went to the show ended up leaving the site, just so they could fly. Could you perhaps give me a run down on what is going to happen regards to flying this year.

Ticket price-
We’ve had to increase the ticket prices because even though the first Homegrown Festival sold out at £20 a pop, we lost money due to my rubbish budgeting and unforseen expenses. Also this year, any profits will be going to Flyability, a charity that gets disabled people flying, and we want to be in with a fighting chance of raising a good amount of cash for them. With two nights camping and all the entertainment, I hope you’ll agree £40 is still good value.
Paramotoring-
This year there’ll be two take-off slots in the morning and afternoon for paramotor pilots to launch from the festival site, and pilots can also fly all day long at Llandegley Common, about 10 km away, and can land whenever they want at the festival site. We’ve got to try and keep everyone happy so want to have quiet times of the day too at the festival site.
