Hangies vs Paragliders competition
July 27th to August 2nd this year are the dates for the Tater Hill Open in North Carolina (USA). The competition is unusual in that low-performing hang gliders compete directly against paragliders in cross country tasks, with no weighting of the scores.
The focus is on fun and improving pilots’ XC skills, and, as last year, there will be some great XC clinics from big names in the sport. Rides to launch will be supplied, and the organisation will do their best to retrieve everyone (but hangies may want to organise their own retrieves).
The weather at that time of year is usually light breezes and 8000ft cloudbases, so what are you waiting for?
