Chrigel to Infinity and Beyond
Chrigel Maurer has set a new best world performance for Infinity tumbles. With an Advance acro glider he put 198 continuous rotations together over Grindelwald.
On Sunday morning 25th May, at 9 a.m., 3500 m asl Chrigel jumped from a helicopter above Grindelwald. He then put his Advance acro wing through a series of 198 Infinite Tumbles to set a new world record. While many people would have had to lie in a darkened room for the rest of the day, Chrigel then jumped onto his competition ship to take part in the 1st task of the PWC Grindelwald, finishing in a very credible 4th position!
