Registration has opened for the Àger Open 2009 which takes place from 11 – 18 July.
There are 150 places, and priority will be given to national teams of up to 5 pilots per country. Those pilots who are not part of a national team will be placed on a waiting list. Places will be allocated (in order of registration) starting on 30 January 2009 to pilots on the waiting list. These pilots will have 10 days to pay the registration fee before their place is reallocated to another pilot.
Team registration will end on 30th January 2009; Open pilot registration on 13th February 2009.
The competiton will be a category 2 FAI Championship open to Class1 Hang gliders (flexwing). The organisation hopes to be awarded the 2010 European Hang Gliding Championship at the next CIVL plenary meeting and will run the open as a practice event for 2010.
