Replacing the Dragon, Independence’ Garuda is rated EN B and LTF 1-2 in the medium, with certification pending in the other three sizes.
Independence say the Garuda implements a high degree of passive safety yet has the performance of a higher classified glider. With easy take off characteristics, sweet handling and plenty of feedback they are aiming the wing at pilots who are looking for an agile all round-glider, suitable for free style flying as well as for racking up XCs.
Special features include the partly trapezoid cell openings which help reduce drag, and a special brake line geometry to allow for very smooth brake operation.
