Ozone’s BBHPP
The Highest Performance Paraglider in the world – that’s what Ozone claim to have created with their HPP. The company say, “It’s a bold claim, but we seem to have built a wing that has the highest glide ratio of any usable wing in the history of paragliding”. Together with fluid dynamics expert, Luc Armant, the Ozone Test and Design Team has confirmed that the baby HPP has a glide of almost 2 points better than the highest performing open class wings with a glide of 11.7 and a speed of 70 km/h.
The Baby HPP is not for sale, and won’t be any time soon. But Ozone say that this exciting project is not finished and the results will not only trickle into the rest of their range, but will result in an even more exciting open class wing than the Mantra R09, which won the most recent World Cup event in Turkey in the capable hands of Ozone’s test pilot, Russ Ogden.
