The screening of the Nissan Outdoor Games’ films took place at Interlaken on 30 May to a crowd of six thousand spectators, who reacted with ‘amazement and delight’.
Standards were extremely high, and the jury had a difficult task deciding the winners in each category. Extremely well prepared, the Finnish team, Golgoht, stood out for their creativity on all levels – scenario, editing, sound, design and action. They took the Golden Peak award for best film. The transitions between scenes and the editing were particularly highly praised by the jury.
The Jury’s Special award and the Best Sports Sequence both went to the Swiss team, Natural Born Flyers. The jury said this “young, talented team brought a fresh approach and evoked new emotions.” Photographer Petri Kovalainen (FI) from team Golgoht was also awarded the Best Photographer title, and the Julbo Game of Light award.
