Italian Nicole Fedele has done it again with another record (ratification pending) – this time the women’s out and return. Nicole flew an impressive 164 km between Sorica (Slovenia) and Piombada (Italy), smashing the previous 100.6 km record held by Karin Wimmer (AT). The flight took place on 19 August, the same day that eleven people landed on the summit of Mt Blanc, and was on an Airwave Magic 5. Nicole is currently the top ranked female paraglider pilot on www.xcontest.org, ahead of Anja Kroll (CH). Details of her flight can be seen on Xcontest.org.
