Helmet Hero mini camera goes high definition

GoPro’s mini helmet-mounted video and stills camera is now available in a high-definition version, perfect for capturing those high-adrenaline moments in professional, 1080p (1920 x 1080 resolution) quality.
The camera is still very small and unobtrusive, although the casing is very slightly thicker to accommodate a new, improved 1100 maH Lithium Ion rechargeable battery pack which gives improved battery life, especially in cold weather and cold water environments. It should provide 2-3 hours of record time. The HD Hero also sports the same 170 degree wide angle lens as the original.
Stills-wise, you can snap 5MP photos on the fly, or configure the camera to automatically snap photos every 2, 5, or 10 seconds, even while the camera is recording video. In addition, the 1080p video mode is equivalent to 2 megapixels, so you could also get a high quality frame grab from the video footage.
