Musician Aviators (MAA) is a new social network community for flying musicians. It is a global online commnity, based at Santa Monica airport.
MAA’s founder, Reid DeFever, is a new pilot with 8 months and 140 hours’ experience, but 25 years as a professional musician, music being his “blinding passion”. He says of MAA, “We bring harmony to the friendly skies”, and continues, “Its [MAA’s] mission is to establish a community of musician aviators from around the globe by creating a space to gather and share our passions, stories and talents with the aviation community at large then to broaden interest in aviation by inspiring the non-aviation community to discover flight”.
To join the Musician Aviators is free, and always will be, says Reid. Sign up on their website, and benefit from
* Monthly newsletter
* Music fly-in events
* MAA member music, instruments, lessons & art
* Pilots blogs/stories/photos
* Community building and information
Their first event, the KSZP Drum Circle fly-in, will be held on 7 February at Santa Paula, California from 12:00 – 14:00. All are welcome.
