The seventh edition of the Raid Chamois four-sport adventure race takes place in the Annecy area of France on Saturday 8 October.
Pilots compete in teams of two or three, completing the whole route together, as opposed to a relay-style event.
The course is 60km long and starts in the town of Thones. The route must be completed by foot, paraglider, mountain bike and roller skates or mini-scooters, pilots carrying their paragliders throughout.
As you might expect from an event featuring mini scooters, its emphasis is firmly on fun, although it is officially a race.
There is a shorter “taster” course too for those not quite ready for the full 60km challenge.
Register on the event’s website from the end of August.
