Brazilian-born Felipe Rezende, now residing in Australia, won the the Nelson Open 2012 flying Sol’s Torck 2 paraglider.

Forty-five pilots took part in the competiton which took place on New Zealand’s South between 21-28 January 2012.
Three tasks of 27.78km, 32.04km and 64.78km were scored.

3. Evan Lamberton NZ – Gin Boomerang GTO – 1,865 points

1. Gladys Gomez NZ – Mac Marvel – 1,245 points (20th overall)
2. Eva Walton-Keim NZ – Swing Astral 6 – 900 points (31st overall)
3. Kat West NZ – Ozone Addict 2 – 752 points (34th overall)
