Niviuk’s new Doberman slalom-and-freestyle competition wing, and the Kougar 2 cross country wing, were seen flying in the skies in southern Spain at the Las Candelas festival in February 2014.
The two wings will be launched soon, ready for the new season.
The Doberman is the wing their team pilots will be flying in competitions. Niviuk say it feels like a freestyle wing, nippy with very precise handling, but with a reflex profile. It’s great for quick changes of pace and tight turns.
Niviuk say the two wings have many similarities – both are small and compact, with easy inflation even in light winds. Improved wing profiles and air intakes have made them faster yet safer and more comfortable, and their efficiency translates into better fuel economy.
The wings have soft, flexible brake handles and wingtip steering toggles for use during accelerated flight.
Speed is altered using both trimmers and speedbar, and Niviuk say there are no incompatible speedbar / trimmer combinations.
