Registration for the Ozone Chabre Open begins at 20:00 GMT tonight.
The fourth SamoĂ«ns Speed Riding Cup will take place on 18 and 19 March 2011 in France’s Haute Savoie region
The Ozone Chabre Open, the friendly paragliding competition based in the little town of Laragne Monteglin in the French Haute-Alpes, takes place from 4 – 10 June this year. Registration starts 30 January.
The Alpine Flying Centre near Chamonix in the French Alps will be running cross country weeks exclusively for Ozone Delta pilots, next summer.
French pilot Stephane Drouin has (provisionally) broken the paraglider world record for speed over a triangular course of 200 km with a flight from Aime in the Haute Tarentaise on 24 May.
It is with sadness that Parateam club of St Hilaire du Touvet announced earlier this month that the 2009 event was the last of Dune du Pyla’s Wagas Festivals.
The Transdromoise, paragliding hike-and-fly race across the Drome department of France, is set for 18 – 23 April 2010.
The 3rd Coupe Icare Blanche held in St Hilaire at the end of January was a great success. Eric Viola demonstrated the best combination of speed riding and fancy dress to win first prize.
This year the BHPA will be holding the two legs of the British Open in the Soca valley, Slovenia and St Andre, France in June and September respectively.
